I am really pleased with my cholestrol blood test result. I am on simvastian 40mg and I dont have a great diet but my cholestrol was only 4.1 which means my arteries will be nice and clear i think it is a wonder drug i think everyone should be on it.

I was on Simvastatin, I will never take it again. I had the most agonising cramps in my legs that ached for days after. If it works for you that's great, I think a lot of people have really bad cramps with Statins!
well dine Gordie

bit early to put it in the tap-water I think
I suffered terrible memory loss when I was on it as well as cramps. It isn't suitable for everyone gordie!
Wouldn't touch a Statin again, Geordie......but my wonder drug was HRT.....I think everyone should be on HRT....men and women.......☺
I have refused to take them and told my doctor so. I will take statins but not the first one on offer just because it is the cheapest.I don't need any more grief and Simvastatin makes my joints feel arthritic. There are several others as alternatives.
retro...they made my hubby's joints ache as well :(

to be absolutely honest retro
I am not sure if you need them if you are still "under" the marsden

you are also the lucky one facing an endocar aneurysm procedure innit ?
anyway if you are - good luck with that.
/I think everyone should be on HRT....men and women..../

I don't think I could cope with hysterical men...
arthritis is a common side effect

I wouldnt dream of taking a pill for every ill - I am on enough already ....
// I don't think I could cope with hysterical men...//

Off to St Georges ( Vascular) at 2pm today to discuss that joy to shortly await me . Have to have the cardio version on Tuesday (8th) first. :-)
No..no...no....Jom......HRT is very calming......relaxing.....you look at life in a new light......with happiness and a peaceful mind....with joy and good feelings towards your fellow man...(and woman).

Which is why men should be given HRT in their early morning cuppa!... ;-)
cardio version simples....
they wouldnt cardiovert me ....so I am stuck in AF - not a great deal to be honest consiidering the rest of the problems

anyway good luck and you are in good hands ......

Thanks. I have every confidence that the version will be a waste of time and the risk of a stroke on the table is more likely than my heart going back in Rhythm. I know 4 people including a younger niece who have all had it done twice and the old ticker slips back out of synch. Then it's the ablation road.!!
Mmmm....that was my thinking, Ael.....☺☺

Bath's.....by the age of 34ish I had no womb....half an ovary and was a mental and physical wreck....

I had to battle for HRT but never looked back and stayed on the patches for twenty five years.....it was bliss....
Except for the odd time the patches came off in bed and MrG woke up with them stuck to his bum......Lord did he panic.....!.....☺☺☺
The drug companies make billions from this overprescribing of statins.
