what have you found the best medicine ?
diesel, you have been through all the common things with no relief, so, either go back to your GP and suggest a chest X-Ray OR "cough on" for another week or so.

of course, one could take a steroid by inhalation, but i think that in the UK, you would have difficulty in finding a GP that would prescribe this......but you might.
How did you get on with the liver and kidney test results, DD?
Anyone know of any homemade remedies to get some relief until I get to doc tomorrow? Thanks in advance
Sorry hijacked your post dd by mistake will post my question again
Steam inhalation...

Don't burn yourself but it us good for loosening mucus.
Thanks copotee2 have tried that but I guess it's almost trying to keep going almost continuously lol trying next one with grated ginger and some lemon juice
What colour is your sputom ?.
Green at moment anne
Anne just googled sputum lovely lol but seems early call to docs in the morning to get some antibiotics will be the key thing to do
Added to my last answer. Or send sample for analysis my doctors sugery is very good bit tradional in old sort of way but "customer care" always seems to be their top priority
May be a good idea to ask pharmacist for a sterile specimen bottle. And take to gp. Good luck
Colour of sputum dictating the use of antibiotics is a myth, so don't be surprised if your GP doesn't prescribe them.
Surgery nurse will provide one I'm sure. I just need to phone early to get an appointment they always hold appointments for the day but will always see at end of shift and local pharmacy (also a family business) has Internet link with docs and they can normally meds in same day if they don't hold it in stock. How can people knock the service NHS provide?
Well forget the colour of your sputum Tony. I'll leave you in the hands of the doc.
Squad I won't be I just need to breath again get rid of puffy eyes and headache. I can only inter web symptoms which I know can be dangerous. but on occasions I have used Surgery they have been brilliant I will trust what they say I only trained 4 years to do my job docs do a lot more
Exactly^^
Will let you know what happens always nice to get final analysis of threads you have comtributed to, why don't all answerbankers do it I find it frustating sometimes but that's another issue.
Thanks all for your advice and help
Good post Tony, the answer is that as they get free advice, many do not value it and the other reason is that many ABers are just inconsiderate.
However feedback is always appreciated from whatever source.
This is a car-crash thread. I don't want to comment on or even read any more, but I keep being drawn back to it.....:(
Sorry diesel, hope you get well asap :)
