Injury Strikes Again

Hello all

I think I've possibly broken my toe, third one in. I stubbed it with some serious force on a corner wall catching the skirting board.

As you can imagine I swore a lot but went to work and have been pottering around (recently had surgery in the other fiit for an existing long term problem) so haven't done too much today.

The tow still hurts like hell - feels broken (had a few now). I know that a toe fracture is usually left untreated and it should heal in its own but the tip looks as though it's twisted inward, my nail is twisted inward. I've noticed more because due to my other injury I spend a lot of time looking at my feet.

As it looks twisted should I see someone? It would seem in very accident prone lately?!

Thanks all

It`s rare to break a toe by stubbing it. Is it swollen and or bruised?
should I see someone ? if you mean someone medical, how can anyone answer your op without seeing your digit/being qualified to make a diagnosis/have access to xray machine. I hope the pain eases .

I was asking for someone else's advice as it is twisted and I don't want to waste a professionals time.

It is slightly swollen, not bruised but neither were my fingers when I broken them last year.

Thank you
i stubbed my toe a few weeks ago and it was twisted too but after a few days it straightened out. prob due to the swelling so i would give it a few more days and see if it improves,if not then get it checked out.
that's what professionals are there for. Give it a couple of days perhaps but if painkillers don't work I'd be off to a doctor.

I thought the same. Couple of days and see how it pans out. I should really stop injuring myself so often! Thanks
I broke my toe by stubbing it (one next to little toe) It was extremely painful so I went to a walk-in centre where the doctor strapped it up and bound it to the next toe. It felt much better but took a few weeks to heal.
\\\\but the tip looks as though it's twisted inward\\

\\\As it looks twisted should I see someone?\\\

Yes, go to A&E today.

Cheers all - woke up in the night in agony with it, a fracture pain to me feels very different to bruising etc... Will drop into minor injuries later today to get it checked
Best thing Greedy - sure they will do what they did with mine. Meanwhile in the famous words of Dr Sqad - take Ibruprofen for the pain .............
I also broke a toe by stubbing it. My whole foot went black. I taped it up myself and it took awhile to heal,
Question Author
As suspected it is broken but I was just told it was best to leave it alone rather than try to straighten the tip. So as we all knew - strapped to the other toe and carry on.

Thanks all
