My aunt receives Freeview from the Caldbeck transmitter and since last Saturday ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 channels have either been breaking up or saying channel scrambled or bad signal, it is really spoiling her viewing. I checked online and it said something about Engineering Works but she wants to know how long this will last as she has been missing some of her favourite programs. Does anyone know?
Thanks in advance.

All of the usual websites are simply showing that there may be some disruption to TV services throughout this week. However there have been no reported outages today, so it's possible that the work is now complete. Try an email to [email protected] (the transmitter operator) to see if you can get any more detailed information.
Update:
The Radio & Television Investigation Service website is now showing 'no reported problems' for the Caldbeck transmitter, so it seems even more likely that the work has now been completed:

Put in postcode on website you mentioned and it said that there was a problem with the transmitter and a technical team are currently trying to resolve a fault at the transmitter.
It is taking them long enough, the problem started last Saturday, you would think they could have solved it by now.
Thank you for your help Buenchico.
