Baldric, I think you just need to be in control, so that's a normal reaction for someone like you X

Thanks, appreciated.
Baldric, update please

Sqad and Sibs, 24/4, met Consultant, lots of prodding, whacking with rubber hammer and manipulation, nothing definite, ref'd to C'bury for more tests 21/5.

21/5, wired up to machine to measure nerve reaction times, uncomfortable, don't like electric shocks, now it's back to Ashford again on 02/6, by which time consultant will have seen test results,
Thanks, Baldric I've now subscribed to this thread, good luck

Rec'd copy of letter from Consultant to Doctor, thinks it may be
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ulnar_neuropathy
Wants to fit me up with 'sheepskin' splints to stop me bending arms at night, (real handy if you need a pee in a hurry) and a possibility of an Op. on the Elbow(s).
Life just gets better :-(
OMG, thanks Baldric xx
Question Author

Sibs, that might not apply to your symptoms, remember in my previous career I spent a fair amount of time resting/travelling on my elbows, so fair wear and tear perhaps?
I hope so Baldric, just want to wish you well xx

My appointment for this afternoon was cancelled by 'phone first thing this morning due to unforeseen circumstances, what ever that means,
In the same call I was offered another appointment for Feb 2015, earliest available, I've yet to accept it and not sure that I will, I mean it can't be urgent, can it?
Good grief, words fail me!
That is unbelievable..............well, with your symptoms I would tell them to "stuff it"
At least you will be able to pee with no problem.
Speak directly to your consultant's PA. I've had similar things happen over the past few years and in my case, it's always been a central appointments place doing that. The PA has, in every case, found me an appointment within a week or two.

Good luck with it.

Thanks SeaJay, a route I will be taking.

wolf, no such luck, delegated to Physio dept already although not heard from them yet
Question Author

I'm effectively closing this thread, due to the fact I'm now being offered March/ April 2015 for next appointment. It's like banging your head on a brick wall, nice when you stop. It can't be urgent if they can't/won't see me until then.
I'm just going to get on with it and see what happens, without the added @stress' of having to deal with jobsworths!

A change of plan, earlier I rec'd a letter from the Consultant giving me an Appointment for next month and apologising for the 'confusion' so we'll give it a go!
Let's hope this one actually takes place, best of luck xxx

Saw Physio in Dover last week, lots of note-taking of history, measurements taken, and coffee drinking, she didn't miss a single movement I made, which I suspect is good.
So now, tomorrow is the day for my Electro-test appointment in Canterbury replacing the one booked for early June that was cancelled.
Baldric, I hope today is going well xxx
