Just been told today I have a ' heart shaped uterus could this be why I have been having lower abdominal pains for the last 30 years?

kat1 It is called uterus bicornate.....two chambers and yes, this condition may well cause lower abdominal pain, heavy bleeding and in some cases, due to pressure cystitis and urgency of micturition.

Thanks. It,s taken doctors and specialists 30 yrs but you just 5 mins! What treatment will I get when I go back to doctors next week?

Well, that depends upon the severity of your symptoms and if they are mild, then no treatment will be given.

However, in exceptional circumstances and should a pregnancy not be an issue and the symptoms severe, then a hysterectomy "may" be advised.
