Viviscal is supposed to be good. Also, Sea Kelp tablets.
Also... minoxidil from Boots (or another chemist.)
Biotin-a B vit-is also good for hair growth.
No, don't let them con you.
No is the simple answer.
Some products may make it seem temporarily thicker but the best thing you can do for your hair is treat it gently.
I've been put on a Vitamin D 'cure' and my hair and nails are stronger and grow quicker. Getting out in the sunshine and eating plenty of Vitamin D rich foods will help.
Eat a few cubes of raw jelly everyday :)
coccinelle, that assumes a lack of vitamin D in the first place. The most common causes of thin or slow growing hair are stress, old age and poor choice of parents.
Anyone who discovers the means with which to make hair grow will be a multi-millionaire overnight. It can't be done, despite the bogus ads.

Canary and Woofgang are 100% correct.
My hair did actually thicken and grow faster when I was on hrt but that's a bit drastic..... especially if you're male :)
Get pregnant! I love my thick pregnancy hair and I'm going to be gutted to lose it :-(
Many (perhaps most) people have the gene for male-pattern premature alopecia, even women, BUT it only operates in the presence of testosterone, Therefore, most men will lose their hair genetically, and a few women will experience this too. HRT will almost nullify the effect of testosterone, and the gene will not operate.

Robinia is right; if you are male do you really want HRT, just to prevent baldness? Or pregnancy for that matter....
