My Dad has taken them up. He got the VIP ones online. He says they stop the craving but they taste like talcum powder! He also likes the fact you can smoke them indoors and in the car with no nasty smells lingering. He has been on them now for a month and they last ages. You can also buy different flavours.
Sorry, should have said my Dad was a 40-a-day smoker.
When i spoke to my son on the phone y/day, he said that he hasnt smoked for nearly 3 weeks. i was gobsmacked as he's wanted to do it for ages.
He has had no cravings--unbelievable. They must be good, but not sure where he bought them from woodelf.

Many Thanks Both and please could you ask your son next time you speak to him Pusskin where he bought his. Ta!
Hi woodelf, hope you are well :)

I bought mine online and went straight to the silver type ones (Mine are eGo-T's), instead of the ones that look like a fake cigarette as they are better value for money, are easier to replace bits for (as well as cheaper) and give far more oomph.

They are now creeping into shops, ive noticed by local newsagents even selling them now, and there's even a independant specialist shop opening local to me as well.

There is a chain of shops called Liberty Flights, may be one near you? I've popped in many a time, and they offer great advice, will talk you through them and even let you try out flavours before you buy them.

I've been on my ECig since last April, so well over a year now, and despite the odd craving (usually when out and drunk!) ive not suffered too badly.

If you want to read further I highly recommend this site, friendly people, who once again will offer fantastic advice.

Good luck
I started with E-lites but they didn't give enough 'smoke' so I got a different adjustable one from

I haven't got on with them really and find myself continually thinking about having a real cigarette despite getting the nicotine. Someone else I know was allergic to the liquid and another person found they gave him a dry, sore throat. So it's good to be aware that not everybody gets on with them and they're not necessarily the miracle smoking cure they sound.
a year, that's fantastic, B00.

Sorry for the diversion, woodelf.
I will ask him woodelf, when i get to talk again.
His son bought them for him, and could have been bought over the internet, really dont know right now. But hey, they must be good to make him stop smoking.
He has the one that doesnt look like a ciggie, and he has the apple flavoured one, and has good refills that last quite a while, so he told me.

Hi B00, long time since...smile...and Ta for your great answer. Ta too to Ratty2E and VNC for the links.
They are on sale in my local Co-op store.
My daughter has swapped one addiction for another. She's now hooked on ecigs. Has been for 16 months. They are doing to be regulated it seems and about time.

I bought a nicolite from the corner shop. £20 for a starter kit which included a usb charger and two refill thingys. It's okay but I found that it didn't last very long. Each cartomiser is suppose to be the equivalent of 20 cigarettes but I didn't find that to be the case.

My other half has been using these since last November, he hasn't had a real cigarette since starting on them, no cravings either. He was a 20 a day man. Their ordering and delivery service is first rate.

ladybirder, what are the risks of being hooked on e-cigs? Do they harm the smoker or those around her?
I thought they were supposed to wean you off smoking/cigarettes? I guess the manufacturers don`t want that to happen though, otherwise people will stop buying them eventually.
They are not designed to wean you off smoking as such, they were originally designed to get a round the ban on smoking in public places. People soon realised that they could get their nicotine fix without all the tar and other rubbish in actual cigarettes and have been using them as a replacement.

Very Many Thanks to you All, for now, I have a lot of links to look into - B00, where did you buy your eGo-T's?
I haven't but my aunt has. She started using one about a year ago and hasn't smoked since. So I think they work. I saw some in Tesco once and I think Betterware do them
I bought mine from a private seller woodelf who was selling them on that forum which I gave the link to. It cost me £30.00 which included 2 batteries (the ECig part) a pack of clearomisers (what you put the liquid in) a wall charger and a USB charger.
