how does my cat see me, i read somewhere that dogs only see in black and white, is my cat the same or can she see like humans?

Got to point out though that the only real way to answer the question is to get an answer from a cat. Vision is only a part of seeing, the other part is done by the brain

it is all to do with the amount of rods and cones in the eye and animals (including cats) have a far lower amount than humans, which is why it is said that they can only see in black and white.

I have seen what a cat sees, it is very low on colour difference and poor spatial resolution, but high temporal  resolution (catches movement well).

woof, typically 'vision' refers to the whole lot. good point though.

MargeB, can I just ask...how have you seen what a cat see's?
