Only a small dose I think Vodka, 20mg a day. I just don't know about this stuff.

The leaflet says avoid alcohol but as far as I know every kind of tablet says that.

The internet says that drinking alcohol can increase certain side effects of the drug. If it was me, I might have the odd one but would keep to quite strict moderation.

Probably not. I did, some years ago now, and it really was NOT a wise move. Alcohol is a depressant after all, and fluoxetine is supposed to work the opposite way, so I suppose it depends on how much you want the alcohol. I experienced blackouts when I had absolutely no recall of my actions and events, which immediately puts you in a very vulnerable situation.

I am not a big drinker so it wasn't a major issue for me. I suppose it depends how much you drink. It's probably not advisable but personally I had no ill effects. I was on it for bulimia and I was on 40mg.

Thanks for the advice. I'll just be at home with a friend staying over. She doesn't know about them and if I tell her I don't want to drink she will think I'm pregnant or something. I'll try and just stick to a minimal amount.

oj has a good point. - could always be a little thrush or some other vaginal infection.....I know its a white lie.

Yeah, might try that OJ. Thanks. Although I'm not about to tell my friend I've got thrush while she's tucking into her takeaway. I did read the link DT, though I'm not sure why you highlighted that particular bit. To be honest I couldn't give a flying one about that at the moment.
