The NHS website advises to limit tuna to 2 cans a week! It also advises limiting, salmon, trout, mackerel, herring, sardines and pilchards as they contain pollutants such as dioxins and PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls).
I dunno, I guess it's best to be on the safe side. |
I thought most salmon at least was farmed. How do they get PCBs then?
Farmed salmon is the worst of the lot! Swimming round in concentrated salmon poo all day, getting flabby.
i think there is a portion limit on fish, but not a ban!
don't know how we all survived though ... |
Cath, food was far more natural 'back in the day'. Fish wasn't farmed, seas weren't toxic.
And never forget that the rate of live births has increased a lot over the last 70 years. |
I drank gallons of tonic water when I was pregnant and no harm done.
I did drink the sugar free stuff, though. My favourite concoction was tonic water and grapefruit juice...got through gallons of that too....cannot imagine drinking it now, though. |

You can take, but It should not effect on your pregnancy... The Tonic should be doctor prescribed.
