Following the recent News item about persistant coughs possibly being a precursor to lung cancer, are the Mobile X Ray units still around? If I remember rightly, anyone could pop into one for a chest X Ray.

chrissa.....good point.......I unfortunately do not know the answer....they were called "Mobile Chest X-Ray Screening Units"
hi chrissa, i dont believe they have them now, i do recall them many years ago when they were screening for TB.

They have Breast Screening Vans, so why not Chest X Ray Vans too? It seems a no brainer to me. I guess it's down to money.
chrissa...you are absolutely correct.......money is diverted into stupid and useless projects like NHS24 and walk in centres instead of routine chest screening.
X-rays can cause cancer, so it might just be a bit self defeating.
rojash............ahhh!........never thought of that.........
Question Author
You're kidding me right???????
chrissa....yes I AM kidding you......it was "tongue in cheek" in answer to the reply of rojash.
