Great Car And Reg Combinations

To see if a plate you fancy is on a car you'd want to buy, go to the Pay Congestion Charge web page, and enter the registration. It then asks you if your car is ... whatever. So, I have found out that ...

J4YNE is on a blue Peugeot 309

69 BJ is on a white Ferrari 430 (how cool must that look!)

JJ 1 is on a black VW Touareg

Just thought I'd mention a few examples.

I'm surprised at that because I've seen PEN1S on a car (although that was years ago)

^ Probably, that reg has been returned to DVLA, and isnow available again. But the PC brigade & plod may take a dim view of it. I think (?) there's now a fixed penalty ticket for offensive reg numbers, (seen somewhere on TV - person got £60 + 3points on licence for same thing).

If my memory is working OK, I think PEN1S used to be on a vehicle driven by Actress/Model Fiona Richmond 20 yrs or so ago, used to see it in central London quite often
