Hi all, if I put posh frocks and smart suits on my birthday invites, whats would you wear? Long dress, short dress? Tie or no tie? I would like the guys to look smart and ladies to be in long evening dresses. Can anyone think of a trendy title for this dress code please.... Many thanks. x

If you are wanting long evening dresses then I would consider that to be 'formal' dress.
Sounds like my mates birthday party... she specified Hollywood Glamour :)
If you want long dresses, dress code is "black tie".
If you put posh frocks or 'black tie' I'd wear an evening dress - but smart suits is not 'black tie' - it's smart suits, so I imagine that's what you'll get.

Hi Howard. Thanks. I always think when someone puts 'formal dress' its sounds quite a serious party as opposed to good fun night be all look the part. The theme is red carpet. Actually got red carpet lol and a photographers too.
