Sounds like they need a wash Sherr! Then give them a treat of gemoline or antiseptic wipe and see how they are tomorrow.
What sort of bites are they? I had the same thing with the bruises where I was bitten by a flea; just left it and it cleared up; wouldn't have taken my chances if they'd gone black though!
you've probably bruised the skin by scratching - what sort of bites are they? - cold compresses won't hurt and put some anti bite cream on.
guess they're mossy bites left over from your hols sher, they can linger for ages, and some folk suffer more than others!......all I can suggest is that you keep an eye on them, your body should fight off any infection, but maybe put some antiseptic on them regularly, they should settle down, I had some a few years ago and they took a few weeks to settle, and left scars too!....

They've stopped itching (hay fever tablet) - have had a shower, think some of the fluff off my t shirt has got caught in the one on my arm. Will give it a gentle scrub with a wet wipe.
