how will tyou do the sauce?
My daughter has to have Gluten, wheat and dairy free products.
You will find a..' free from'... section in all of the supermarkets. They all stock it.
Beware for a shock when you see the price.
ps they sell it in sains in their freefrom range
£1.69 for 250 grammes
One of the most annoying things about having to be gluten free, is the time spent reading the labels in the supermarket
. You will find that some of the jars of ready made sauce are gluten free ... just make sure you read the labels.

Gosh bednobs - I never gave a thought to the cheese sauce !! Perhaps I will be OK if I use cornflour ? Thank you all for your replies, I will try Sainsburys.
Don't use a cheese sauce. Instead, make your own tomato/meat sauce (tinned toms, onion, garlic, herbs). it will still be authentic,as there are different ways to make lasagne. Layer with ricotta and mozzarella cheeses.
Hi, You can buy gf pasta sheets in most supermarkets, although I find sainsbury's to be the best. to make the white sauce for the layers, buy dovefarm gluten free flour (its about £1:80) and on the back is a recipe for white sauce. really easy to do, i think its 50grm flour 50 grm butter and 3/4 pt milk, then just heat and stir (continuosly) till you get your desired thickness.
you can buy the tomota based sauce just read the labels carefully!
oh and be carefull for cross contamination! both my son and my wife are coeliacs and they have there own chopping boards, toaster!, jars of food/butter etc even the smallest amount can cause them to have stomach cramps/diarrhea and feel generally unwell for quite a while!

my oh is a coeliac and i spend ages reading labels if we want sometmhing that is not from the free from range but the local health food shop is brilliant and is competatively priced. so tend to get dove flour, etc there. their dried herbs and spices are also a lot cheaper than the supermarkets. why stick to lasagna there are lots of different pasta shapes available.
use cornflour, rice flour or potato flour as a thickener for the sauce but take care on how much you use.
recipes available from checking online for coeliac recipes.
hope this helps.
