Evening all. I had a local anathestic in my arm this afternoon for a contraceptive implant and the underside of my forearm to two of my fingers are still numb after 3 and a half hours. Is this usual or cause for concern ? Many thanks & please excuse any typing errors ;o)

It is a bit long, I agree.........depending upon how much was injected.

It does sound as though a branch of the brachial plexus was inadvertently involved.
It should be fine by the time that you read this thread.

Hi Sqad. Many thanks for your post. The numbness was all gone by the time I woke up this morning - just left with soreness where the implant was inserted as to be expected. Thanks again - much appreciated. x
No big deal.
