Don't take a lot of fluid late at night. Try to get relaxed with a book or consider using a relaxation tape.

Good answer, but you have missed the most important part of Holli´s question and I would like to hear it as well ;-)
Holli, the second part of your question could probably be best answered by your GP.
my boyfriend had the same problem for ages. he just got told he has a low blood pressure and low sugar levels. i would say go to your GP. its prop nothing to worry about maybe just a phase?
sandy...BUT WHAT ABOUT THE FIRST PART?
If you were tierd you could easily transpose an R and an E. Easily done. I've done it myself.
Stress, indigestion, room too hot, or cold, noise outside street lights shining in. There are lots of reasons...
sandy.....but which?
Lol. OK I don't know
sandy

That´s just what I said in my first answer.

Love you.
Sqad, you seem to be labouring under a misapprehension. Look at my profile.
sandy...LOL....LOL..ooooops!....sorry. :-(
Hollis.......sandy might well be spot on, but you need to see your GP who would take a social history and provide a few blood tests.eg thyroid etc if need be.

Good luck
I don't sleep that well - but find if I leave the tv on in the bedroom, I fall asleep watching it.
Holli - overwork, troubles, eating too late at night, fizzy drinks, going to bed too early... al keep me awake.
I can usually sleep any time (I could now) so if I can't sleep I know I'm in trouble. Can you read in bed? I find that a couple of chapters, then leaving the radio on, usually results in getting sleepy.
In the day time - bananas perk me up, and Lucozade.

Thank you all
you have my sympathy Holli...if you haven't tried them it is worth having a go with nytol... or herb tea with one that contains valerian, and passiflora and hops about an hour before bed time...make it strong with a couple of the teabags. write down anything that is worrying you before you go to bed and leave the pad downstairs telling yourself you will deal with it in the morning...make sure your room is dark enough and quiet with no distractions, and don't worry about not sleeping just try to settle... oh and get some exercise during the day (every day) that will increase your energy levels if you do and help you sleep.
