Ear ache is so painful I don't think I can stand it

I have the worst earache, I'm on antibiotics but it's getting worse, on mega strong prescribed pain killers and they aren't touching the pain, any thoughts?

How long have you been on the anti-biotics? Is there a walk-in clinic near you that you could go to?

My experience with bacterial infections like earache and tooth abcess is that painkillers, however strong, have little effect, unless they manage to knock you out. Antibiotics will do the job - perhaps you need to give it a little longer or get some stronger ones.

Earache...antibiotics for that....urinary tract infection just over 10days ago, September just isn´t your month.

What did the doctor say the diagnosis was?......How long have you had earache?

You are so right, this is a terrible month! I've been back to my gp, got antibiotic eardrops but my ear is completely closed and they won't go in, I am in the worst pain now and pretty down, feel sick and so weak. Guessing my next stop, say tomorrow, is A&E??

Sounds like otitis externa ( Boil in the ear)..bl00dy painful and may take 4or5 days to settle. Ibuprofen 600mgms twice daily should ease the pain.
