I ate half a pot of yogurt yesterday afternoon. It was open so I smelt it & it was fine. Also tasted fine as well. It was only when I removed the lid fully (after eating nearly all of it) that I noticed mold (Green) on it!!!! I really thought it'd be ok as it tasted fine, not bitter or anything. But, an hour later I started getting really bad tummy pains and another 30 minutes after the pains started I was sick twice. I haven't had the runs, but really smelly trumps!!! (((embarrasing!!))) Even now, over 24 hrs later I've still got a mild tummy ache. Is it the yogurt or just a coincidence? Someone I know said you can't get food poisoning from yogurt. TIA

not from yoghurt, certainly but deffo from the mould spores that grow on it...a fine distinction I agree.
was it one of those Activia yoghurts?? when ever ive eaten those i get awful stomach ache!
Sounds like the mould is passing through - literally - and has produced some additiional gas on the way.

Should be OK by tomorrow, if not, make an appt, with your GP.
a little mould is unlikely to make you that ill especially since you obviously didnt eat much or any lumps...look at blue cheese...
that depends on the mould...some can kill!
Note to self-check all food for being spoiled thoroughly and throw away if in doubt.
Food poisoning can and often kills.
