Gonorrhea, clap, VD, whatever you want to call it, can hardly lie 'dormant' in a person for over 3 years without any symptoms surely? An acquaintance of mine swears she has not been unfaithful to her partner of 3 years' standing, but recently had vaginal symptoms - went to the GU clinic and was diagnosed with gonorrhoea. She is insisting she must have caught this from a previous partner and it has lain dormant for all this time, only to rear its ugly head now. She insists her present partner has not given it to her.

I find this a little hard to believe - I know that up to 40% to 50% of women don't get symptoms, but why would they suddenly flare up after 3 years?

Sqad - must admit we are thinking along the same lines. A year? Maybe. 3 years? Not impossible but very doubtful.

rinks - thank you xx
well i hope everything goes well for you and i shall think of you wreaking havoc in that mixed ward, swishing about in your satin pj's.

perhaps we ought to have a a party thursday, well any excuse eh............
salla...look at it simply.

3yrs ago...I am a little gonococcus introduced by a weeping penis into a needy vagina.

I do not cause any vaginal symptoms,I do not wander into the uterus or Fallopian tubes to cause trouble.

I just sit there doing "bugger all" for 3 years and then I say to myself "I am going to cause vaginal problems for this women...and so I do.

Do me a favour.

Well that was exactly the point of my original question sqad - it does indeed sound incredible. But, some people and info suggest different?
