Red would be called 'low-lites' and can be done with foils.

As to the itchy scalp, is it dandruff, is the scalp scored by scratching? Color test should be applied.

yes I used to have mine done but they fade very quickly and are hardly noticable after 5 to 6 weeks so I changed to blonde ones which last much longer.
