I had an eye test at the opticians last month and my eyes were fine.
The last day or so I have been getting sharp stabbing pains in my eye which make my eye water. Any ideas of whats wrong and if it continues do I book an appointment with the doctor or an optician?

Thanks

CAJ1....how is the driving going?

Well, the Optician has given you the all clear which basically rules out an eye problem.

Two things come to mind:

1) referred pain from somewhere else....e.g sinuses.
2) Migraine or migrainous neuralgia

See your GP.....it doesn't sound serious.

Hi sqad,

Driving is going well thanks, it gives you so much more freedom and is becoming less scary! :o)

Thanks for the advice, will make an appointment with the doctor if it doesn't settle down.

Sqad, do you think pain killers or eye drops would help relieve the pain? Its bloody annoying me now
CAJ...don't put eye drops in, use NSAIDs e.g Ibuprofen 600mgms
