Nobody more right wing than Winston.
One of those questions where no-one can be sure, but I very much doubt it.

lets face it, just a few years ago, the BNP was extolling the virtues of the SS, and the Nazi Party in general, Winston hated everything they stood for.
Was he really,Sqad617? He hated the Nazis and the Stalinist regime with equal venom. He warned Britain about the Nazi regime during the thirties, which expelled him into the wilderness. On taking power in May,1940,he had to take on the role as wartime leader - and he always said it is better to jaw jaw than war war - and take the necessary action to insure us from Nazi invasion. He had to make hard decisions, which today may seem unfair, but when you are on the spot you tend to forget what history will make of you.
Thank God we had him and BNP were wrong to use him.

Marky....don't understand your answer.

Anyone who hates Communism and dictatorships are surely right wing and that is what I said.

Have I missed the point here?
As the Nazis were as far to the right as you can get and communists are nearly as far to the Left.

I would say that Churchill had the best interests of the country at heart. What he was against was extremism so posting has out on the Wings is wrong.

Yes he was on the right because that by its nature is conservatism - Right wing because he was anti-facist is a contradiction in terms.

You do understand that Communisim and dictatorship are not linked don't you. Although they do sometimes coincide.
I notice that Churchill's image is being used on a current UKIP poster. Not sure if he would have liked that either.
-- answer removed --
BNP and UKIP promoters tend to be weak losers that are racist cowards with views that cause divide among people.
The young Winston Churchill was a very brave journalist who attempted to report the atrocities of war on the front line anywhere in the world. He then went on to unite the people of Great Britain with his views to create a fighting force against the very beliefs that the UKIP and BNP parties represent. In Summary: Urgent brain transplant or labotomy required for followers of the UKIP and BNP.
