My nails split and peel quite easily.I have tried Sally Hansens Miracle Cure,Opi, etc, and have taken extra calcium......I am now using a hardener made by Cutex that has helped to some extant. But the problem is that my nails will improve and grow ....and then all start breaking again. it would seem that as soon as one breaks-they will all follow. I work as a cook...so my nails take a battering. I have tried wearing gloves...but even that doe not help as moisture will collect under the glove...then my nails will peel.

I like Sally Hansen Hard as Wraps. Bitten my nails ever since I had teeth but now can paint my tallons. Daughter (24) is also using it ( mostly mine!) and thinks it's great.
hun your problem is on the inside-not with your nails. it sounds like you may have a vitamin and mineral deficiency-try taking high strength calcuim supplements, a magnesuim supplement, and vitamin A-deficiencies in these cause peeling and cracking nails. also use a cutical oil in the meantime to help soften the nail and help the peeling.

Hi Sizzle..I have just started taking calcium....but how high is 'high strength'?...and I hadn't realised that Vit A would help.
OPI - Hard as nails
I have used it for over 10 years and without it my nails would simply not grow lng at all.
Oh and scientifique by Mavala - it seals the nail layers and stops them from flaking
