Fingernails have ridges running horizontally and they peel from the tip. What am I deficient in ????

Probably nothing. The Great Ormond Street Hospital website suggests that the problem is more likely to be related to the onset of a skin condition, which requires medical diagnosis and treatment before it gets worse:

Coud be psoriasis but you usually have other signs elsewhere on the body ie elbows knees etc



I've done some digging, and whilst vertical ridges CAN be due to poor vitamin absorption or iron deficiency, Horizontal ridges as you describe seem to be attributed to 2 things, either using nail tips/wraps which prevent air getting to the nail, or more likely, 3 or four souces attribute horizontal ridges to stress. So, looks like you have a good excuse for a massage and lots of chilling out!!
