I would like to thank those of you who gave me advice on my daughters condition, and i now have answers.
I was discusted at some peoples comments and views, and i feel very upset by some of them. but for those of you who asked we have now been to the lady doc today and my daughter has been refered to gynae paediatric consultant, as basically she has no hood, the skin is tight and swollen over the clitoris, whicj is like the female equivalent to the male forskin too tight problem.
But my daughters is fused, and causing swelling and friction.
Everything else looks normal, and she said that my daughter will need the skin cut back to stop it being tight and causing discomfort.
We will go at end of feb, which is a long wait for her but the fastest app we could get.
Im glad i took her, and that we finally have an answer to her problem, which is not the explanation squad gave!!
I hope that this will cure her of her problem and that she will be comfortable and pain free xx

Hi sheribee so pleased you have now seen the doctor with your daughter and have some answers to the problem.
You can go forward now.
Thank goodness you persisted Sheribee. I am so pleased you have at last found a doctor that knew her stuff. So glad it's nothing serious.

And I am so sorry you had to see that other thread.

xx

Thanks lofty x I WAS REALLY UPSET! but i did mention this to the doc, and she set my mind at ease further by telling me there are no signs of anything of that sort.
I am so relieved that i took her, i knew there was something not right xx
:)

ps. A close relative's child (male) had the same problem with a fused area on the foreskin. Had a similar operation which was speedy and simple!!
Mothers know their children better than anyone else. I had a problem with my son when he was little and my doctor had me down as an anxious mum (which I was) and told me there was nothing wrong. In the end I demanded a referral and the doctor said he would refer me just so that I could be told there was nothing wrong by a specialist as I wouldn't believe him!!

I was right there was something wrong!! The Pediatrician said that he always listened seriously to what mothers said because they knew their children so well and could tell when something wasn't quite right.

You were so right to be persistent and I am really glad you talked over what was intimated on your last thread to the doctor. You needed to get it off your chest!

Take care.

So glad you have been to the Drs.
Hope all goes well for your daughter.
Good luck
Brenda.
So glad that my suspicions were not entertained and I hope that all goes well.
Ethel I don't understand the sign :).........what does it mean in plain English?
That's good to hear sheribee. Best wishes to you and your daughter xx
Thanks for letting us know. Glad you found out what it is and you can put your mind at rest now.
Squad, it's simply a smiling face. Look at it sideways.
Got it.........?
Fantastic news.!
I didn't see the other thread mentioned but glad you got the answers from your GP. Some people on this site mean well but pass comment without any thought of the hurt they may cause - I am sure we have all been guilty of posting things and regretting it, and sadly some enjoy upsetting others. Then there are the ones that are just plain sick and find it amusing at posting disgusting and so called funny replies. We will never stop them, but glad you have risen above them.
I hope it all gets sorted for you and your little one. You sound like a lovely mum. x
I am glad you are well on the way to getting this delicate problem sorted. I commented on the other thread and I too was disgusted at the accusation and how confident he/she was that he was right.
Anyway, moving on you know you are a brill caring mum and your daughter will be better very soon.
Take care.

The only thing i have to put on her now is sudocrem, but was heartbroken this morn to find her in discomfort after passing water as it hurt.
She is being so good, and im letting her put the cream on, and i just check its on ok, think she needs thats resonsibility now she is older x
I did wonder if i should take her back to gp if this discomfort carries on, coz it just not fair on her to have to wait!!
