Does anyone know why you sometimes get short of breath for a day or two after a big night on the ale?

This happens to me and a couple of friends and we were wondering what it is about alcohol that can cause you to have trouble breathing the day after. Any ideas anyone? TIA for any answers.

I'm wondering if alcohol restricts the levels of oxygen in your blood or something like that? Perhaps it's time to stick to pop...lol!
I have no idea why you would feel breathless after drinking alcohol but if this is a regular effect maybe you should stop drinking alcohol :)

Lol Daffy, I kinda figured that bit out for myself! Just wondering how it's caused, curiosity that's all.
Restricting the levels of oxygen sounds about right Erica, but i'll put up with it lol
