Prednisilone is a funny drug. My ex was on and off it for a number of years to treat Sarcoidosis and developed what they call "moon face", where the face bloated and looked abnormally puffy. He also developed lots of fat around his mid section and the drug caused him to become Diabetic.

As far as my ex is concerned, he never lost all the weight and his health has never been the same since coming off the drug. He started taking it in his 30's, maybe it has less severe effects on younger people. I honestly cannot say if your daughter will lose the weight.
