I feel really run down at the moment. I have dry skin, dry hair, blemished skin, a really sore nose (inside the nose that is), puffy eyes etc. I am prone to the occasional spots but recently they are just not shifting!! I am a 27 yr old female, am really health conscious person, drink a lot of water, green tea, get a lot of sleep (more than I would like to be having) and exercise regularly. It is that time of the month so I know that's not helping matters but I am just so sick of feeling like this. I work in a dry office with no air con and we have to have the heating on all the time or else it is freezing!! I just don't feel myself and look drained of all life and I want my glow back!!...any suggestions????

Hi sssg4 - It's really worth getting yourself checked out by your doctor! A lot of those symptoms could point to a thyroid condition. Note 'could' I would really get your self checked out! Very best wishes xxx
I know exactly how you feel. you say you're health concious, I was going to suggest looking at your diet maybe. Are you eating enough? Are you iron deficient? I suffer like that at this time of the month, it could be something as simple as anemia, get yourself a blood test at the docs?

Also, the spots are a sign that your liver is sluggish - have you tried dandelion root / dandelion leaf tea? I get puffy eyes and find that I hold water quite easily, esp around period time. Clipper do a great dandelion tea that really helps the water shift.

I have been going to the docs to try and find out why I feel so tired all of the time, all the tests came back negative, I do have a tendancy to over eat esp at this time of the year, I'm fit, good weight, and eat well - but i still suffer, seems a waste of time really huh!! :)

Phew you sound tired. Although green tea is good, too much can deplete your iron levels! I found this out myself a while back, I used to drink loads of the stuff. You could also be suffering a bit with stress and it sounds a bit like you need some time to find your 'inner glow' again. If you need a good detox, I've got some good dandelion recipes and a good recipe for a dandelion detox drink, (but don't over do it).
Dandelion helps clear your liver and kidneys whilst increasing your mineral and vitamin intake. Hope this helps, take good care of yourself!
