When I go to poo, all that comes is A LOT of blood, mucus and undigested food.

Does anybody know what it is/ if it's serious?

If the blood is bright red and streaky you probably have piles.

If it is dark and tarry, it is more serious.

See your GP in any event.

I'm scared... I'm laxative addicted and although I've never been diagnosed I match the criteria for Anorexia.

I don't want to go unless I absolutely have to :/
Well, I think this is a case of "you absolutely have to". You are admitting you have a problem, which is the first step and is a very good thing. What you describe isn't healthy, and can lead to major gastric problems, not mentioning vitamin deficiency and malnutrition.
The medical profession is well versed in nutrition problem, and they will help you. Please seek help now, before you do any more damage to yourself, some of it irreversible. xxx

I know this is going to sound really selfish, but I don't WANT help for my Anorexia... I don't want to go to the doctors and be forced into anything.

However, I know that if there's anything wrong with my stomach/whatever I'll have to.

Argh! I need somebody to tell me there's nothing wrong
no-one is going to tell you that as there is obviously something wrong somewhere. It is not normal to pass blood, mucus and undigested food.

Your GP cant stop your eating disorder but they can at least advise you what the possible problems are with your bowels. Then you can make the decision to carry on or seek proper help
You know the answer to that question, Jellybelly. You wouldn't have posted if you thought there weren't anything wrong. What is happening to you is not normal, I'm sorry. But it is YOUR health that is at risk, YOUR life that could be ruined. Nobody can force you to do anything. They will TRY to help, but ultimately, YOU are responsible for your own body, and your own life. The only thing anyone can do is give you advice, with your best interests at heart. Again, please go to your GP. They will help, and will not force you into anything. Do it for yourself, babe, you're worth it. xxx
Nop - can't do that. You are now paying the consequences for abusing your body with laxatives. You are damaging your stomach, bowel and colon.

It is your choice - see a GP or become very ill indeed.

OK, new question... Is there NO point I can be forced into anything? My BMI is around 16 and I'm 17.
-- answer removed --
i dont know about that, but no-one can force you into anything on a first appointment with GP anyway. But be honest as to your dietry habits
What they will do is discuss your eating habits with you, diagnose your problem, and give you advice. They will treat the symptoms, but ultimately, what you need is a change in your habits. They will take you seriously, and nobody is going to judge, but try to understand. They will most likely refer you to a nutritionist, and possibly a psychologist. As long as your life isn't at immediate risk, they will not force you to do anything. If you're thinking men in white coats and sectioning, then be at rest. This doesn't happen overnight. But please seek help. Think of the consequences to your family and friends if anything happened to you. They will not recover from it. xxx

And that, Max, is half the reason I try to hide it! They can't handle it.

Ahhhh, I don't know. Thanks though.
They will be able to handle your problem. What they will NOT be able to handle, are the possible consequences. Malnutrition, hair loss, amenhoreea (when your periods stop), bad breath, weakness, joints pain, constant tiredness, irritability, skin problems, all of this eventually leading to organ failure, and yes, death. This is your life hun, take care of it. See a doctor and do not be afraid, they will be understanding and will help you. xxx

Haha, too late to warn me off any of that.

Sorry, I'm not laughing at you, it just makes me laugh when people are like, "oh, you're so thin! If you're not careful your periods will stop."

If it was as easy as going and getting fixed, believe me I would. I've tried recovery. It just makes you fat
You are typical of all anorexics - self-obsessed with no care for anyone else.

As I said - the choice is yours. Get help or don't.

I knew the Kendall twins, both of whom died far too young from anorexia and know the effect this disease had on the family.

It is in your power to stop. But nobody can make you.

thw rong type of food makes you fat, the right type of food gives you energy and keeps you healthy, no food kills you.

See your GP and get help for the bowel problems first.
If you don't do something about your anorexia then you will die, probably within the next 3-5 years. Now will your parents be able to handle that?
laxative abuse wont make you lose fat anyway. Laxatives work in the bowl, later on after you have absorbed all the nutrients. All you do is dehydrate yourself and prepare your body for starvation mode, so it clings onto every calorie you absorb. Get to the doctor before you wreck your bowels so much you need a colostomy bag.
jelly, how can you say you dont want help from your anorexia and yet only a month ago you were considering trying to get pregnant to see if that might cure it

Question Author
Because I'm selfish and self obsessed. That's why.

Oh, and obviously I woke up one day and thought, "Hmm, how can I get some attention? I know! I'll starve myself! Sorteddddd"
