Which ones are recommended by dentists in the UK? I am looking to buy one but am not due a dentist appointment for a few months yet, which should I go for?

It may be the sonic. My dentist sells these ones anyway though he won't try and force them on you, he concentrates instead on those things for between your teeth and shows you the best way to clean using convential brushes

I went for my six month check up, clean & polish last week & asked my dentist what he thought the best toothbrushes were. He advised sonic too & although they sell Phiips Sonicare ones at the surgery, he said you can buy them &/or other makes cheaper elsewhere.

I've been using a Braun battery operated one for ages (changing the heads of course), but will def' look into buying a sonic one - probably from Boots or Argos.
