How long after taking this you start feeling the benefits of this steroid? Should wheezing and tightness be continuing 14 hours later?

BigMamma, another question for you? I have an operation in 2 weeks under general anaesthetic. I have already had the preop appointment and my asthma wasnt discussed because I had been cleared for so long. Is this of significance when having a general?
Hi, does your Gp know that your op is in 2 weeks as he/she can discuss the condition of your lungs and if they think it will be clear enough to have a general. Usually the anaesthetist doesnt like it if someone has been on antibiotics and had a chest infection recently.
Having said that , they may be satisfied to see how you are when you actually go in and see the anaesthetist that day.
When I had my total hysterectomy 2 years ago they had to get in a special one who specialised in giving anaesthetics to chronic chest and heart patients.
So , to summerise , ...lol.....I would just give either your gp or the consultant area doing your op, and have a word with them , as they will like you to be off the steroids if possible too though thats not too much of a problem as you are having a short course.
Any more questions after this blurb love , just ask :-) xx
Hi love , how are you feeling ? Have your meds kicked in ?
I do hope your breathing is easier. Did you enquire about your op . or have you got your gp appointment still today ?
xx
