Male hair loss
7 Answers
Hi, my wife keeps tellng me to use this hair thickening shampoo which she has just bought. Are there any men out there who have tried such shampoos with any success.
Also, I believe there are other therapies available, such as laser treatment, implants.
I have heard horror stories about implants though.
My question basically is this:- Is there a remedy for male hair loss and at what cost?
Thanks in advance

Off the top of my head I cannot remember what it is called, but I know it is bought in Holland and Barrets and Boots. Boots had a deal on it for a while, basically three months treatment for the price of two. But, it does work out to something like 100 a month. I know someone who is using it who has noticed a considerable hair growth, but, they are going to continue to use it for three months, to see if its worth continuing with. My friend is my sister, and as I suffer with hair loss was considering it before I found out how much it cost. But I am happy with short hair, cheaper than going to the hairdresser all the time!! Can find out what it is called at a later date if you like, but you will find it in these shops over the counter. But I was once told by a lady 'that men with no or little hair is a sign of masculinity' stick with that excuse and be happy! Hope it helps!
BBC Horizon did a programme recently about whether beauty treatments actually work. There was a section on genetic hair loss.

My husband has gotten the same problem...
I found this site with loads of information and different types of treatment.
It is an online clinic so you can do a free consultation and then they prescribe the medicine to you (only if you are eligible!)
My husband has taken propecia now for almost a year and I can definitely see the difference! http:// www.the onlinec linic.c o.uk/ha ir-loss .asp
Hope it works for you too! All the best!
