When I was in Spain about a month ago, I remember walking on something on the beach that really hurt but couldn't see anything. Since then my foot has been a little tender in that area then a couple of days ago it started to really hurt, even standing/walking. So at a closer inspection I noticed that there was something in my foot! but with skin over the top of it. Well last night when I'd come in from being out having a meal + lots of wine, I tried squeezing it and picking it with tweezers!, along with lots of blood and puss a bit of wood came out so thats obviously what I stood on but now it is even more painful than ever and cant even put my foot on the ground. After speaking to my brother he said that I should definatly not have done that as it could be infected and I should of gone to doctors. Is there a chance that it could be infected? It doesn't look infected just hurts.

Maybe you could treat it with some of those wipes and bandages that you stole from the hospital!!
You may have stepped on a weaver fish or something similar. I think you should go to the doc's or a&e and get it checked it out..

mally-baghoo. Very amused! I have done that already, lol
Its going to hurt if you have been picking at it, but it could certainly be infected, give it a good soak in TCP or Dettol and keep an eye on it, if it gets red and starts weeping then go and see GP or a practice nurse can treat a small wound.
Of course it's infected.Pus in a wound is a sign of infection. You need to see your Dr. for antibiotics.
