I have intensely itchy feet sometimes - not athelete's foot, but a deep sensation on my soles. Sometimes there are small blisters but I suspect that's from me rubbing them. It's usually when I take off shoes after a long day and my feet are quite hot, but also first thing in the morning. Drives me up the wall!

sounds similar to fungal infection I had - ask the chemist they may recommend something :-)

sounds like a circulation problem to me, feet restricted in shoes and then the blood rushing in when you take them off does cause itching, and at night when they are elevated and then you put them down blood rushes to em again. Try loser shoes or taking em off a t different points in the day, and sleeping with something under your mattress to tilt your upper body upwards slightly to help the blood reach your legs. Maybe a total change in lifestyle is needed, go to gp for chack up to see if circulation, cholesterol, blood pressure is all ok. Diabetics often have problems with their feet too.

If it is a sympton of the above a lifestyle change is definitely called for.

Yes I have had this problem for a bout 6 weeks, dont know whats causing it but it keeps me awake at night ,I used Eurax a cream that stops itching and it has actually eased it a lot.

This happened to me once after I had been on a run and my feet got too hot. Now I suffer from those blisters from time to time and my doctor said it was pomphylox which flares up from time to time and seems to be heat related. It gives intense itching and you only get it on your feet or hands.
