Is there any research to show that regular joggers live longer than those who do no exercise but just live a healthy lifestyle.

I don't know ab out research, but I sincerely doubt it. Long life is to do with healthy living and good genes, from what I can see. My Grandad lived til he was 96 and I am positive, never went jogging! But he certainly did believe in "everything in moderation".
I doubt fitness levels will make you live longer, but aerobic exercise like jogging certainly makes you feel better and probably avoids certain illnesses as your circulation and oxygen uptake are better.

Sorry but there is and yes they do:

Either way their knees will be bugge*ed
I'm sure jogging is good for you, but other forms of exercise are just as good ie. swimming, and less stress on the joints. Jogging probably does exactly what it's name suggests - it jogs your knee and ankle joints (even if you wear latest technology trainers etc . .) and must, in the long term, cause them damage.
