When should I take this? I use to take it the same time as my thyroxine first thing in the morning, but have seen I shouldn't take anything else with the thyroxine for at least half an hour after.

I always take mine at bedtime - but that's a hangover from my time in hospital - that's when they dished out the medication. I think there is an argument for that - it's being absorbed while you sleep, so you are ready to go when you wake up.
Certain medications should not be taken within 4 hours of Thyroxine because they reduce its effectiveness. Citalopram is nor one of them.
I take it in the morning with my other meds (not on thyroxine though).

I have been taking it before bed so I will carry on the same then, thank you for answers.
Mr.J2 has been taking Thyroxine for a few years now. He just swallows it along with his handful of pills in the morning. I've just told him about this post and he says that he'll read the instructions!
He's been fine. Taking time to pull around from the current nasty virus, that's all.
Mr J2 has checked on thyroxine and, yes! it says you should leave a gap - he has, however not left any gap for over 3 years (to no apparent ill-effect).
See my post in Body and Soul...re. thyroxine and vitamins.
