Bad Headache, Cannot Look Up

Is this a sinus headache?

I've been taking paracetamol, but is not helping.

I don't get sinus headaches - just once and I do recall pain was in top of cheeks across nose.

I get a lot of sinus headaches which bang worse when I lower my head (like to pick something up). Also pressure across the eyebrows. Yours could be or could be something else, try a different painkiller like ibuprofen. Paracetamol are crap I think :-)

If it's caused by blocked sinuses, you need a specific medication to help unblock them. Try something like sinutab.

Is this the first headache like this that you have head?
Was it there when you woke up, or did it come on during the day?
Is it one side of the head (face) or both sides?
Is it stabbing or pounding?
Does looking at the light make it worse?
Have you had any nasal discharge or blocked nose?

Sinus headache is caused by allergy or infection. You should measure the body temperature. If it is higher than normal, the headache is likely to be caused by bacteria or virus. If the temperature is normal, it must be an allergy. Anyway, try to wash your sinus out, it will help you. And I agree with Prudie, try ibuprofen.

Does "cannot look up" mean that you cannot tilt your head back? Neck stiffness?

Or did you mean you can't find anything relevant on google?

Hypognosis I cannot roll my eyes, very bad pain over eyes.

Sqad I have had a bad cold and this is the first headache like this. Have tried steaming with Vick in the boiling water.
I have only one pillow on bed and as for stress no more than usual.

I was originally going to ask "tilt head or move eyeballs" but the eyeball thing sounded such a silly suggestion, I changed it.

Still no idea, but not keen on the "sinus headache" concept.

Take Ibuprofen 600mgs in one go and report back tomorrow if it is still persisting.

Sqad thanks for advice, head is aching across low forehead in eye lid region at front and is a dull pain, not stabbing.
Have now taken ibuprofen.

sharon - when I did get the sinus headache I was given a sinus antiobiotic from dr and it worked a treat.

I am still suffering. I now have a bad cold and hacking dry cough. Oh and the headache!!!
Been taking lemsips, ibuprofen and copious amounts of Covonia!!!
