I ordered a top off the River Island website a while ago, but I only tried it on today and it's not suitable. I have since thrown away the returns slip so I'm wondering if I could return it to one of their stores? It doesn't mention anything on the website.

If you take it to one of their stores they should give you either an exchange or a credit note to spend in the store. It is unlikely that they will give you the money back as you have no proof of purchase.
