My husband had just been diagnosed with bowel cancer and I was absolutely beside myself but now good news he has had the operation to remove cancer and is now undergoing Chemotherapy as a precautionary treatment what a relief. These last months have been a total rollercoaster our feet have not touched the ground everything has been so fast I cannot fault any of the Nhs professionals. He has another 10 treatments of Chemo and is doing very well.Thankyou to all the people who sent their best wishes to us in April. :-) xxx

Hi fredkins. I'm glad things are going ok for your husband. My mum had a similar problem, and like you, I cannot fault the docs. Everyone has done all they can to make her better and comfortable. We are so lucky to have the NHS. Best wishes to you both.

Lovely to hear from you Fred and keep your chin up.
I was going to say the same.....make a date in the future, when he's feeling better, to do something really special. It will help if you have a grand occasion to work towards.

Oh we will,we had to cancel 2 holidays one of which was for our 30th anniversary July 14th to Krakow,so after all this is over we are going to have an exceptionally different holiday not sure what at the moment.
Fred..you just caught me before I visit dad...as you know it's been the same here the last couple of years , so I really do know what you're through, it's very tough going but you have to keep strong and upbeat , especially for the sick person...at last you are seeing light at the end of a dark and incredibly scary tunnel ! My thoughts are with you at a very difficult time...BIG hugs xx
