My husband has swollen ankles - is this the weather? He is on 2.5mg Bendroflumethiazide. He is 70 years old and not overweight. Am sure it is nothing to be worried about but just curious.

Bendro is a diuretic so I doubt it would cause swollen ankles. Sitting about a lot (due to the heat) can cause it though.

Yes, that would be the most likeliest of causes.
If it persists or gets worse over the next 6-8 weeks, then see your GP.

I know jno. That`s why I said it wouldn`t cause fluid retention - it`s a diuretic.
