I've put on a lot of weight recently and being an apple shape its mostly up top. I do stomach crunches and other things for the waist but what is the best for the chest area. My bras are starting to feel a bit tight.

I am also on a food diet plan, although how long that will last is anybody's guess given my history as a yo-yoer!!

Stomach crunches tend not to get rid of 'belly' fat they just tend to strengthen the 'abs' which pushes the belly fat out. A way to get rid of belly fat is to do short bursts of High Intensity exercises with recovery periods in between. i.e 30 seconds High Intensity then 60/90 seconds Low intensity/recovery. Repeat ten times. This with a diet plan should do the trick.

Thanks Penelope.

What should I do about the chest area?
The High/Low intensity exercise regime (i.e on exercise bike or Rowing Machine) will produce fat loss all over. You can couple this up with 'Core' exercises i.e Planks and Side Planks which will strengthen Abs, Back, Chest and Shoulders. Hope this helps.
I wonder about this too Tigger. I'd love to lose a bit from "up top". I'd pay to have a reduction if I wasn't such a coward at having an operation.
Google Shin Ohtake. Loads of good advice on there. The 'Max Workout' is a bit extreme (and expensive), but you can get weekly tips via emai etc. for free. Targeting specific areas tends to improve muscle tone in that area but not necessarily fat.
Horseshoes ^^ loosing 'fat' from "up top" is associated with general fat loss I think. Why surgery? If you've got it, flaunt it.:-)
The only spot reduction I have faith in is liposuction.
I do not think one can exercise an area away.
Penelope, I fear you're right. I need to crack on with good exercise. I find being big busted embarrassing TBH, and certainly not very comfortable.

I think I know what planks are. I'll Google it. Thanks again :o)

Horseshoes, I've gone from a 36C to a 38D in about 2 weeks! Not good, so trying to get rid of this extra size.
Hello again tiggerblue10. As mentioned in my previous post,I would definitely recommend that you Google 'Shin Ohtake', you will pick up loads of tips on dieting and exercise and the weekly 'hints' are very useful and informative. Good luck.
Why not take an honest look at what you eat?
