how often should i do my dvd?

i am following weight watchers rather sucsessfully at the moment and although i have been doing a lot of walking i bought Davina Mccalls workout dvd to supplement the diet.

I did it on thursday and managed to complete it, i woke up on friday and felt sore as i am not exactly fit! I am still achey now, i was wondering when i would be able to do the dvd again, as i would really like to be able to do it 3 times a week.

Is this ok, or should i do less?

Hi i've got that DVD aswell and it's really tough so don't be so hard on yourself.  I know it says to do 3 times a week but if you get to sore at first then don't.  As it is split into 3 sections (arms, bums&legs and tums) why don't you do one section on a Monday, the next one on a Wednesday and the final section on a Friday giving yourself the weekend off.  When you start getting used to it then maybe do 2 sections on those nights instead of one and increase from there.  Good luck x

Hi, i have this DVD, too, and being VERY unfit i wondered how best to approach it as i didn't want to do myself a mischief!

I pretty much did what Tinky-Tia suggests.

I did the warm-up and ONE different section on a Mon, Wed and Fri for a month. Then i did the warm-up and TWO sections on these days for a month and since then i have been doing the whole thing 3 times a week... and it hasn't killed me!

Having the weekend as a break from it makes me WANT to go back to it... unheard of with any other exercise regime.

I am laughing whilst hurting. I did this dvd yesterday morning for the 1st time and today i am like a cripple (v unfit!). My legs and bum are agony! Glad to hear its not just me.
