One person said "it's a one stop shop". I like Aldi they have some brilliant buys but there is no way I would call it a one stop shop.
Do you use Aldi. Would you call it a one stop shop?

No which is why I don't use them. I'd need to go to another supermarket to complete my week shop................
It's not a one stop shop for me but I do like Aldi for some stuff (although its not necessarily cheaper than Asda). I do my main shop at Asda (online) and buy some stuff from Aldi (we have tried the Aldi version of most things but some things weren't liked but the tea bags are a massive hit). Our local Aldi is having work done on it so the car park is a bit mad at the moment (but the little people are home so I can nab a child parking space, otherwise I might have trouble parking/stopping).
never been to Aldi
No but I use Lidl. They have instore bakeries these days. If they sold The Guardian as well, then they would be a one-stop shop for me !
I,m a recent aldi convert and I am getting used to the fresh foods and their bottled flavoured water is great, but we still have to go to asda and or tesco and farm foods for some stuff, but we are spending up to 30 quid a week less now that we do use aldi
loads of stuff I can't get.... coffee beans, pepsi max and half the time the fruit and veg isn't any good... so its just one of a variety I use
With the exception of a few things for which I would use Patrick's deli anyway I get everything I want at Aldi....though the number of single men buying meals for one is down on Tesco.....but I can live with that..just. :-(
No, I buy specific things at Aldi - ours isn't very big though, so on an Aldi week I'll probably get about half of what I want there. Catz won't touch their cat food, don't buy milk or toilet rolls there.

The woman in front of me yesterday, though, was definitely doing a one-stop shop, a whole trolley-load!
Since I retired I have had more time to go to other supermarkets - previously did all my shopping at Asda. I still have to buy the majority of food at Asda but some things I do buy from Aldi. I have noticed that the branded goods e.g. Nutella are more expensive. Certainly not a one stop shop for me.

LOL, gness gives her hunting territory away.

Got all excited there for a minute,
(mis)read it as Audi,

Specsavers here I come!
I wouldn't ever buy branded goods at Aldi - their own brand substitutes are usually excellent, and very good value for money. If you haven't tried their makeup or their sun lotion, give it a go.
We love Aldi. Most Aldi products compare with popular brands, we do most of our shopping there now. But the equivalent to Lurpak butter is awful (think it's called Norpak?) so we do have to go to other supermarkets for a few items.

Have you tried Aldi ham trim only £1.75 for a pack of yummy ham which tastes just as if it has been carved off the bone? People are getting wise to this and it it is just flying off the shelves so harder to get. The equivalent to Activa yoghurts are just brilliant as are their fruit fools @ 39p (gooseberry our favourite!) The bread is great too and Northern Catch frozen fish in batter better than leading brands, more chunkier and juicy.

Their garden plants are brilliant, I bought 4 Clematis @ £3.99 last month and they are better than £10.99 ones at the garden centres. ............ we have almost halved our shopping bill despite having to drive 9 miles to the nearest store. Wish we had one in our town.

Desky, I didn't know anyone still bought bottled water - it's a dreadful waste of money, particularly when you've got such lovely real water in Wales....
After much research and a visitor's questionnaire in the loo I have found Aldi toilet roll to be the best.....beating Andrex by a mile....
Market Harborough Aldi is good, Ann and right next to a fantastic Lidl...x
Does tap water in Wales actually originate in Wales Boxy? I thought I read somewhere that it does not necessarily come from your own area, for instance, ours in the Midlands comes from Wales? ........ but perhaps I dreamt that?
boxy I buy bottled fizzy water, the water here in hampshire tastes horrible even filtered.
Bit further to go to MH Gness, Syston is nearer!
Wish Aldi would install fresh bakeries just like they have done in Lidl, we go to a Lidl on holiday on East Coast and the bread is just tooooo tempting!
And you behave MrAV....!
I spent a few days near Newport recently and the tap water was delicious..
