I was shouting yesterday, and something funny happened to my jaw 'left side of face' and it started to hurt like hell? Does anyone know what happened? still hurts.

I had jaw trouble due to chewing nicorette gum too much. My jaw started to slip out of its joint when I opened my mouth too far.. A couple of weeks of amytripteline put it right.

Gizmonster is correct.

Ibuprofen 600mgms in one dose and it should settle.
