Is an iPad bad for children's eyes? They have some maxing learning apps for kids but how long in 1 day is safe. To be honest ours learn so much from them. Interactive cartoons and so on.

I let my children use an iPad/tablet. They are not on there for hours and hours so I can't see an issue.

Don't let them stare at it for hours, IMO, any more than leaving the telly on all day.
You can turn the brightness of the background down that's what we have done with our children's iPads. I also do it with mine when reading at night x
I was told that 3D, whatever that is damages the eyes. Don't know if iPad has that or not.
3D doesn't damage your eyes. It has no more effect than reading a book, watching TV, using a computer, ipad etc., looking out the window or down a valley in the lake district. Using your eyes does not damage them.
