All African men in the poverty stricken areas were offered £100 (equivalent) for chemical contraception or sterilisation that would last for 5 years or permanent, the African crisis of children starving would be virtually eradicated. This would possibly be quite affordable considering the millions of ££ that we give them every year.

I know that this has possibly been looked at before and my theory is so full of holes etc. Cultures, religion, masculinity would all play a big part in these clever ideas.

Just a thought!

Actually, while looking for that Indian women are now being sterilised after second baby and cars are being offered.
Hang on Ratter! £100 for ever or £100 every 5 years if the took the chemical option. Know which I would choose.
That sort of thing has been tried many times and failed. The macho attitude that your fertility defines your manhood is tremendously strong even in developed countries. The only way is to make sure they have something to lose by having too many offspring
