Anybody had a broken Hip or replacement?

Since I had a fractured hip 10 weeks ago It dosent seem to be healing very well. I still have pains and muscle spasams down my thigh and putting pressure on my leg when walking hurts, even with a walking frame.

Am I being to impatiencient?

Did you have your hip pinned or a hip replacement following your fracture?

Sorry it was just over 8 weeks ago and I had it pinned and was told that is why it takes longer to heal than a replacement!

Ah! right...well no big deal then...early days.

You will be followed up in Orthopaedic OP's and re Xrayed and that will show up any problems.

Take painkillers in the meantime.

I had my hip pinned, took ages to heal, I was worried too but did get better eventually, make sure you to the excersises.

However, a year on & still get pain in it sometimes.
