Update on my daughter's cough.

I posted a while back regarding an ongoing cough that my 7yr has had. She was given antibiotics a few weeks ago which didnt help so today I took her back again to the GP. She has now been given an inhaler to use at bedtime and is terrified poor soul.
I think they are just ruling out asthma. She has no wheezing or anything else, just wakes up coughing every morning.
If that doesnt work then he will try antihistamines to see if it's an allergy.

Thanks tiggy for the update.........that approach sounds reasonable.

Do you think there's any chance she could have asthma Sqad? Wouldnt there be any other symptoms? Shes not actually coughing through the night it's first thing on a morning. She has never wheezed ever either. I dont know a right lot about it though to be honest.
tiggy....in children it is not uncommon for the sign of wheezing to be completely absent.
I think that the diagnosis of asthma in young tigwigs is quite likely.

Really? I thought the opposite but know nothing lol! I guess we will wait and see. However last night she was actually worse after using the inhaler for the first time. She woke up at 5.20am this morning coughing which is earlier than ever.
